July 10 to 14 - Painting Flowers & Glass - All Media

Starts Monday July 10 through Friday July 14
Length 1 week course, 9:30 am to 3:30 pm daily - 1 hour for lunch, bring a bag lunch or go to a nearby restaurant for lunch hour
Location Village Green Community Church, 505 Village Green Ave (corner of Village Green Ave and Wonderland Rd S), London, ON
Cost $310.00 + HST  There may be a small fee for purchasing flowers on some days - usually not more than $2.
Media Students bring their own painting supplies: watercolour, acrylic, or watermixable oils. Plan to work 16" x 20" on the first day.  Click here for information about recommended supplies. No turpentine is allowed in class.
Details Monday, Cheryl will take students step by step through the painting above (16" x 20"). Each day from Tuesday on, students collaborate on still life set ups that include flowers, glass, crystal, copper or silver. Learn to paint the sparkle of glass or metal. Also hone your compositional skills as we work together on the set ups. Plan to bring a camera to class. 
Level Beginners through to advanced painters will enjoy this course. Ages 17 to seniors welcome.

Aug 14 to 18 - Wet & Wild - Fluid Acrylics only

Media Students bring their own painting supplies including: Fluid acrylics, high gloss medium, white gesso (Liquitex recommended).  Click here for information about other recommended supplies. Bring 4 canvases on the first day, one or two 16" x 20", and some smaller as well.
Details Bring your sense of adventure! Students are free to work abstract, or with a subject, or anywhere in between. There will be a variety of techniques taught, as well as tips for how to make a good abstract. Students should also bring lots of photo references in a variety of subjects.
Level Beginners through to advanced painters will enjoy this course. Ages 17 to seniors welcome.
