Just Painting
With just a few weeks left before I need to switch my focus back to teaching, I am trying something new with painting. It’s always exciting to try something new – watching the first shapes and colours form, liking them, building on top. I think that I will skip my blog post for tomorrow, and hope to have something new to show you by Thursday. Happy painting to my artist friends – hope you may try something new too! Life on the Edge
Just finished this 40″ x 30″ acrylic painting. It was done from a photo that I took in Northern B.C. It doesn’t show at all well in the photo, but I have collaged a small Canadian ammolite into this painting. Ammolites come from our Rocky Mountains, and it just felt appropriate – and maybe a bit magical too. Painting available from the artist: $1420.00 + HST
